The picturesque Adelaide Town Hall stands as a grand landmark heritage building and a prime feature on King William Street in the heart of the city. Built in the 1860s, and steeped in South Australian history, the imposing Victorian era design and elegant interiors provide the perfect backdrop for your wedding. The Town Hall has three venues suitable for weddings – the Auditorium, Banqueting Room and Meeting Hall.
The Auditorium is truly enchanting. On entry the ornate gates and sweeping marble staircase leading to the Main Foyer provide the ideal location for pre-dinner drinks. The soaring decorative ceilings and striking centre stage of the Auditorium provide a unique setting for weddings, and can comfortable seat up to 380 guests with a dance floor.
Offering a generous feeling of space and a sense of elegance, the ornately Victorian era Banqueting Room exudes grandeur and majesty. This is the perfect venue for elegant and refined wedding celebrations. Detailed craftsmanship adorns the walls and the graciously high ceilings are complemented by solid bronze chandeliers; eliminating the need for additional theming. The Banqueting Room is perfect for intimate weddings up to 130 guests with a dance floor.
Located behind the iconic Adelaide Town Hall is the Meeting Hall. Built in 1862 it offers a unique and private venue setting that combines historical appeal with modern indulgence. Ample space, vaulted high ceilings and timber floors preserve the character of the era and provide a unique back drop to impress your guests. This space is ideal for both wedding ceremonies and receptions.
