Violin and viola. Acoustic or electric. Classical to pop. Solo, duo or more. I love performing at weddings and would love to be part of your special day.
A little bit about my background… I have over 25 years experience in the events industry and a background performing with some of Australia’s best orchestras. I started my career with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and went on to play extensively throughout Australia, Europe and the US in both the classical and pop music worlds.
In recent years I’ve recorded, toured and collaborated with pop artists such as Michael Buble’, Josh Groban, Bliss N Eso, Human Nature, Delta Goodrem, Lana Del Rey, Harry Connick Jr, Missy Higgins, Tim Freedman, Olivia Newton-John, John Farnham and Eminem. I’ve performed for Princess Mary and Prince Frederik of Denmark and the Duchess of Kent and have regularly appeared on TV shows such as The Voice Australia.
I also founded and run String Source and Philharmonia Australia, a session musician and orchestral contracting agency in high demand throughout Australia for over a decade.
What can I do for you?… I can offer various solo packages or can put a larger group together from my team of musicians. I can perform for your:
- Ceremony (music while your guests wait, for your entrance, signing of the register and exit).
- Pre Reception.
- Reception (throughout the night or as a highlight for your reception entrance or first dance).
- All of the above.
I’m happy to take special requests and prepared to play just about any piece of music.
Prices start at $385 + gst.
Professional, punctual and polished, I’m happy to accommodate special repertoire requests. Low key or lavish, I’ll work with you to create just the vibe you’re after for your special day.
SOLO ACOUSTIC: A range of recognisable melodies – classical / broadway and movie themes / jazz and pop ballads.
SOLO ACCOMPANIED BY BACKING TRACKS: Classical versions of current and recent pop songs with piano backing tracks. Pop ballads and upbeat songs are included in this set with the more upbeat choices reworked into slower romantic ballads. Or, chilled out pop songs mixed with some more upbeat numbers accompanied by contemporary backing tracks. This package combines the classical string sound with a current, slick pop edge. Or: A bit of both.
AS A DUO WITH:
- VIOLIN or CELLO – All genres from classical through to pop.
- GUITAR or PIANO – Pop songs with a hint of classical flavour.
- DOUBLE BASS – Pop songs are given a jazz twist with the addition of plucked upright Bass.
FLUTE or BASSOON – Classical only.
STRING TRIO, QUARTET or
