Adelaide Botanic Garden
The Adelaide Botanic Garden is located in the heart of Adelaide, offer spectacular vistas in a tranquil setting. There are many ceremony sites available throughout the Garden, catering from small intimate gatherings to large festive celebrations.
Each site has it’s own particular charm and ever changing character during each season of the year.
Mount Lofty Botanic Garden
Less than half an hour from the city centre the Mount Lofty Botanic Garden is on the eastern slopes of the Mount Lofty Ranges. This large hills garden in a spectacular setting overlooking Piccadilly Valley was started in 1952 and first opened to the public in 1977.
It features plants from the cool climates of both the northern and southern hemispheres which do not grow well on the hot, dry Adelaide plains.
Wittunga Botanic Garden
Wittunga at Blackwood in the Adelaide Hills was established by Mr Edwin Ashby in 1901. Ashby originally created a formal English garden at Wittunga with herbaceous borders, roses, trellises and arbours.
However, his fascination in the native plants of Australia and South Africa led to the development of a most interesting and different garden, part of which remains today. Wittunga’s displays of Australian and African plants are especially spectacular in spring and include rich collections of Erica, Leucadendron, and Protea. A delightful spot for your special day.
