Yep we got our footings back and came in at 11k rather than 15k so we were pretty stoked with that. Now we are planning the electric points etc .. that is a hard task to work out where you want switches, lights etc .. it is not easy.

We have booked our appointments for the 17th and 18th of March - was a little miffed that had to wait so long though..we were hoping to start building in March .. guess wont be happening now!

Thats great about your footings. They laid our slab Saturday! WOOHOO!!!

Oh wow that is a massive wait. They called us and made appointment with us 2 weeks later. Are you a 1st home owner? If not, that may be the reason as they First Home Owners are on there priority list.

Hi,

thats great Smile Well we went up after nightfill last night and they have started the bricking on the pillars. I honestly can say they have been great. The slab was done brilliantly. We have paid a private inspector to inspect each stage and he said that we had one of the best slabs regarding levels and that he has seen. The framework, a few things some quite major, although we didn’t have a clue. They left some major support out, but once we sent through the report they came back and fixed it straight away. It is sooooo much fun. I have absolutely loved the building process and for a large company and I am amazed by the quality of workman ship so far. Hopefully it is like this for you 

How did your selections go?

Hi

Yep we have done our selections and had final building interview. We gave the bank pack to the bank today so hopefully that will be done URGENTLY cos as soon as we get that it should be about a month from there apparently ...

We are also planning on getting a building inspector - it is well worth the cost.

I can not say that I have loved the process..we've been messed around by all 3 parties (land estate, builder and bank) so yeah we are just eager to get it off the ground, esp when other houses in the estate are going up Smile

hope to write some more soon when I have a better update.

Keep updating yours!!
